Smithfield is very close to the city centre, has its own LUAS stop, welcomes bikes (do be careful on the cobbles) and has an underground car park for 300 cars right next door.

By LUAS

Get the Red line to Smithfield (Zone 1). Walk halfway up Smithfield Plaza. On your left hand side is a raised public space, where you will find the entrance to Light House Cinema.

By Foot

Smithfield Plaza is approximately a 15-minute walk from O’Connell Bridge on the north side of the River Liffey, walking in a westerly direction.

By Car

There is a one-way system in place around Smithfield.

If coming from the North side of the city, drive to Dorset Street/Bolton Street. From Bolton Street, drive in a westerly direction. At the junction of Bolton Street and Church Street, go straight through onto North King Street.

If coming from the South side of the city, drive from Christchurch down towards Church Street and turn left onto North King Street at this junction.

At the end of North King Street, veer left onto Queen Street and here you will see a sign on your left for the Smithfield underground car park.

The Smithfield underground car park is a secure car park. On exiting the car park by foot, proceed in the direction of Smithfield Plaza, where you will find the main entrance to Light House Cinema.
