EUNIC Short Shorts Film Festival 2025

EUNIC Ireland (European Union National Institutes for Culture) is proud to announce the return of “Short Shorts from Europe” in 2025, an annual short film festival celebrating diverse genres and styles of European independent cinematography.

This year’s edition features a vibrant selection of 10 short films representing Italy, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Poland, and Ireland. Screenings will take place across Ireland in Dublin, Galway, Limerick, and Cork, showcasing the rare European short filmmaking to Irish audiences. Each film will be screened in English or with English subtitles, ensuring accessibility to all viewers.

The Irish entry is curated in collaboration with the Limerick School of Art and Design, a long-standing EUNIC Ireland partner, underlining the project’s commitment to promoting local talent and supporting the independent film scene both in Ireland and throughout Europe.

Project received broader recognition, and this year will be promoted by RTE Supporting the Arts on their social media.

All screenings are free of charge and open to the public, but advance registration is required. After each screening, audience members will have the chance to vote for their favourite film via smartphone, adding an interactive element to the event.
