Synopsis
After growing up on the Ryukyu Islands in the south of Japan, Mika - traumatised by her father's infidelity and her mother's death - left her island home, intending to never return. However, when her father is diagnosed with a serious illness, she travels home for a difficult and emotional reunion. Kansando is the beautiful new film from Born Bone Born (JFF 19) filmmaker Toshiyuki Teruya, featuring a cast including award - winning Shogun star Tadanobu Asano.
