Oscar was born on October 16, 1854. The Oscariana festival will feature tours of his childhood home in Merrion Square, Oscar Wilde movies in cinemas across Dublin, performances of Micheál Mac Liammóir’s play on the life of Wilde, children’s fairytales from Oscar's childhood nursery, and an online musical and poetry event streamed from the Wilde family home in Dublin.
