TITE Film Festival: October CrowCLUB 18+112 min
Synopsis
After fleeing an innocent life in Kentucky for the bright lights of New York City, a young woman befriends James Steele, a peculiar, vulgar older man who names her Bella. Taken under James’ wing and introduced to a religious brothel, Bella begins work as a dominatrix, where she discovers new ways of intimacy and new kinds of pleasure as she finds her place in the city.
This directorial debut from Jack Haven (I Saw The TV Glow) was born out of Haven’s friendships with leads Alexandra McVicker (Castration Movie Anthology ii.) and the magnetic Peter Nolan-Smith in his acting debut. Largely improvised, earnestly kinky, unabashedly punk, October Crow is a testament to the power of creative freedom and true love in a hostile world.
