Celebrating Jessie Buckley’s historic Oscar Win

Last night in Hollywood, California the 2026 Awards Season drew to a close with the 98th Academy Awards taking place at the Dolby Theatre. 

We were thrilled to see Paul Thomas Anderson win his first Oscar, followed swiftly by this second and third Oscar including Best Picture for One Battle After Another. Ryan Coogler's Sinners took home Best Original Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Cinematography and Best Score. Joachim Trier won Best International Feature for Sentimental Value. 

Of course the highlight of the night was seeing our very own Jessie Buckley become the first Irish woman ever to win Best Actress for her role in Hamnet. We had the good fortune of welcoming Jessie, along with her co-star Paul Mescal, director Chloé Zhao and writer Maggie O'Farrell to Light House for the premiere of Hamnet in December.
