HAMNET Irish Premiere

On Saturday, December 13, Light House rolled out the red carpet to welcome the stars of HAMNET, Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, and director Chloé Zhao and screenwriter Maggie O'Farrell to Smithfield for the Irish Premiere of the film. All 4 have been nominated for Golden Globes for their work on the film, which has been nominated for a total of 6 awards and has been bowling audiences over at festival screenings worldwide.

In the film Buckley plays Agnes; and Mescal, her husband, Will (known the world over as William Shakespeare). After losing their son Hamnet to plague, Agnes and Will grapple with grief in 16th-century England. A healer, Agnes must find strength to care for her surviving children while processing her devastating loss.

Chloé Zhao's deeply heartfelt, moving film will screen at Light House from January 9. Tickets are on sale from December 19.
