Remembering David Lynch
David Lynch - a filmmaker, a painter, a musician, an artist in the truest sense of the word. The visionary work of David Lynch has inspired so many, far beyond the reaches of cinema and television. The very existence of the term 'Lynchian' is proof that he was able to capture the elusive, subconscious sense that there was something dark, strange and unspoken lurking beneath the mundanity of our lives in a way that nobody had before. Although the darkness is usually front and centre, his films are often humorous and ultimately hopeful.
Lynch was a great believer in the joys of creativity. And so, we will be celebrating the life of this great, singular creative with a retrospective in both Light House & Pálás.
