Séasúir Shorts - Kicking off on July 3rd!
Séasúir Shorts is a new quarterly screening event bringing short films back into the cinema at Pálás. Many of the Irish filmmakers, actors, and animators making waves internationally made their first films as part of Ireland’s robust short film scene. It is also where new and emerging talents are making work that reflects the breadth and diversity of filmmaking on the island of Ireland today. With Séasúir Shorts, audiences will have a regular opportunity to see short films in the cinema, outside of festivals. Past and present shorts fit for a big screen experience will be showcased this Summer, Autumn, Winter and next Spring. These seasonal programmes will feature a mix of short dramas, documentaries and animations, and all for a ‘short’ price of €7.50.
Séasúir Shorts is made possible with the support of the Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland Audience Development Fund.
Séasúir Shorts: Summer
Our inaugural summer programme features 8 short films that celebrate the pleasures of taking a break. Whether literal or metaphorical, the characters and the people portrayed in these films find solace or salvation in summer days and activities, or in taking a complete break from their routines and realities.
