Light House is #1 for All Of Us Strangers
It has been a bumper month for releases particularly independent titles. Light House was the top performing site in the UK & Ireland for the opening weekend of Andrew Haigh's stunning All Of Us Strangers.
In the film, Adam, a screenwriter, lives a lonely existence in a plush, modern apartment in London. He might be the only occupant, until one evening he catches the eye of a mysterious new neighbour. To say more would reveal some of the precious secrets of Andrew Haigh’s (Weekend, 45 Years) magnificent new feature. The award-winning director has crafted a potent and moving reflection on grief and loneliness, while a stellar cast – which includes the sizzling chemistry of Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal – helps to deliver one of the most heart-breaking films of the year.
We were delighted to host the Irish Gala Screening earlier this month and welcome Director Andrew Haigh, and stars Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott, as well as other special guests. It couldn't be described better than as Andrew Scott put it on the Late Late Show, the atmosphere was amazing. There was a great buzz around the red carpet and, as with all screenings since, by the time the credits rolled there was not a dry eye in the house! The lads were also chuffed to see that All Of Us Strangers had received the highest honour any film can hope for - a signature cocktail in the Light House bar! The Mescal Mule returns, joined by the brand new Knock Your Scotts Off!
Cheers to that!
