Light House is #1 for Stop Making Sense

      Better than it ever was!

Arguably the greatest concert film ever made, STOP MAKING SENSE, was restored and remastered to celebrate its 40 year anniversary. David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison, better known as Talking Heads take to the stage with fellow musicians Bernie Worrell, Alex Weir, Steve Scales, Lynn Mabry, and Edna Holt to perform some of the band's most beloved songs including Once In A Lifetime, This Must Be The Place (Naïve Melody), and Psycho Killer. Byrne's magnificently wonderful choreography and the chemistry of the entire band is captured perfectly by the then-up-and-coming Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs).

It's no secret that we love Stop Making Sense at Light House; we've always looked for any excuse to see that silly giant suit and have a dance with a lamp! So when this restored version came along we jumped at the chance to bring Talking Heads back to our screens. It has been such a joy to see packed screenings across the weekend full of singing and dancing, and to hear that Light House was the #1 site for the film in Ireland & the UK was the cherry on top.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, if it was your 1st time seeing it with us or your triumphant return, we look forward to having you back for the one!

STOP MAKING SENSE is now showing in Light House and Pálás.
